Academic Programs

We are committed to academic excellence

At MI-EL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL we are committed to academic excellence. Our greatest concern is the holistic formation of our students through intellectual, social, physical and emotional experiences.

We offer programs for Pre-School, Elementary, Middle School and High School:

Pre-School:

  • Corralito 1 year
  • Nido 2 years
  • Nursery 3 years
  • Pre-Kinder 4 years
  • Kinder 5 years

Pre-school students learn through games, utilizing and manipulating materials designed in such a manner that each child can develop their skills and aptitudes attaining their goals individually.

  • Elementary: 1st - 6th grade
  • Middle School: 7th - 8th grade
  • High School: 9th - 12th grade

Elementary, Middle and High School levels use materials and resources as per each area of knowledge, allowing students to assume responsibility for utilizing and caring for them in their own learning process. The different subject areas possess characteristics that link them and work in an integral manner, favoring the development in each are of knowledge.

*The required age for each grade must be met before September 30.

Ambassador Program

Pre-Kinder- 11th Grade

On a weekly basis, a student is chosen to greet anyone that comes into the classroom.

Star Student of the Week

Corralito – 12th Grade

On a weekly basis, a student is selected to be the “Star Student”. The student brings to class a board displaying pictures of his life (family, hobbies, friends, favorite food, ect.). Some teachers select the student based on their conduct and academic excellence.

Treasure Bag

Corralito- Kindergarten

On a weekly basis, a student is chosen and they will take home an empty bag on Friday. On Monday, they are to bring it back on Monday filled with their favorite toys or important objects for them. This program is also used to work on reading-writing skills utilizing alphabet letters.

Reading Program

Nido- 2nd Grade

Every Monday, students take home a book to read with their parents and bring it back on Friday. Books are previously selected by the teacher.

After School Program

Our After School Program has as principal aim supporting and reinforcing the assignments of the students, through discipline, this, in order to motivate in them the commitment towards their responsibilities.

We are committed to personalized follow-up of our students and the completion of our goals in a fun and varied way!
